Artechouse: XYZT Exhibit by Adrien M & Claire B
ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES
You have never heard of the Artechouse? Me neither until Nguyen asked if I wanted to go with him.
The Artechouse is an interactive digital art space. The XYZT Exhibit runs until September 3. It stands for X-Horizontal Y-Vertical Z- Depth T- Time.
The cost is $15 before 4 PM or $25 after. The tickets are timed, so make sure to be there on time. You get about 45 minutes inside the exhibit, I could have easily stayed there another 30 minutes.
What to expect?
There are six exhibitions and a place to take pictures with some lights after you exit. The exhibit space is extremely small. It is one main room and a small back room. All the exhibits are interactive, either by touch or movement.
I have heard mixed review on it. I absolutely loved it, but that is because I am easily impressed, but also because I had a lot of fun. If you go to the exhibit and see everything as what it is, yes, you will not appreciate how interactive it is.
You will say, I’ve seen this before. What’s the big deal? But if you go looking at it from a creative view, it becomes a whole new world. I am sure people were looking at me running around the exhibit like a little kid, but I had the best companion who accepts me for all my weirdness and went along with every idea I had.
